The museum quarter
The museum quarter is the place where the most important museums are located such as the van Gogh and the Stedelijk. At last also the Rijksmuseum (famous for the rembrandt painting the nachtwacht) is reopened. In wintertime there is an ice skating track before the sign of” I love Amsterdam”. If you like classical music the museum quarter is also the place to be since you will find there the famous Concertgebouw( concert hall).
To avoid queues it is possible to buy a museum card or e-tickets

Dam square
The dam is the historical center of Amsterdam with the magnificent city palace at just 500 meters from our scooter rent head office (rozengracht 31). Dam square is the middle of the amin shoppingstreeds Nieuwendijk en Kalverstraat. It is also the location of the shopping centers Magna plaza and Bijenkorf. From time to time there are events as the winter market or in summertime a luna park. In the Nieuwe Kerk you will find different exhibitions.

Unknown for most tourist. However the place to be for most the inhabitants of Amsterdam. Completely renovated a couple of years ago, it has become the biggest park of Amsterdam, with playfields and fountains. In summertime it is a must to sit on the terraces of the numerous cafes and restaurants such as Pacific Park and Westergas. Big events and exhibitions such as awakenings and Amsterdam Dance Event take place in the former Gasworks.

Waterloo square
Named after the battle of Waterloo and location of city hall and the opera house. It is also the location of the flea market and souvenir shops

De Wallen
De wallen are also known as the red light district. Here you will find many cafes and establishments such as Casa Rosso and the Bananenbar. The place to be for bachelor party’s In this district many bars are open till early morning. De wallen consists of a number of old canals and streets in the old center of Amsterdam.

Even on weekdays there always something going on Rembrandtplein. Here you will find small clubs as bubbles and cooldown as well as the bigger discotheques as Escape and Club Air. A visit should be paid to cinema Tuschinsky a fine example of Art Deco in the Reguliersbreestraat, just next to the rembrandtplein.

Amsterdam Arena
Home of Football club Ajax. The biggest football stadium of the Netherlands. It is also the place were some champions league finales did take place such as Juventus and Real Madres. . It is also used for the bigger concerts for artists such as Michael Jackson, Madonna etc. The best mean of transport for the arena is the scooter

The canals
With the canals one refers to the four main canals: prinsengracht, keizersgracht, herengracht en singel. The houses on the canals are often rich decorates and originate from the seventeenth century or the Golden Century. In the year 2000 the canals were placed on the world inheritance list of Unesco. The greater part of the canalhouses have a story of their own such as the Anne Frankhouse on the prinsengracht.
Since there is no public transport on the canals it is best to use a scooter or bicycle.

The most famous park of Amsterdam. The Vondelpark is situated next to the Leidseplein. Especially in summertime you should pay a visit to the different terraces such as The Blauwe Thee Huis, or to the rosary or the open air theatre. The park is named after the poet and play writer Joost van den Vondel. Of course you will a statue of him in the park.
